Daniel Wilbrandt

Dan Wilbrandt is a former criminal prosecutor from the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office and had been with the Office since 2012 after receiving his law degree with honors from the John Marshall Law School (now the University of Illinois – Chicago).

While at the State’s Attorney’s Office, Dan was part of the office management team as Chief of the Criminal Division and was the Misdemeanor Unit Supervisor, Felony Review supervisor, Specialty Court Supervisor, a member of the Felony Division, Drug Induced Homicide Unit, DUI Court, Drug Court, Mental Health Court, Felony Review, Misdemeanor, and Juvenile Divisions. Dan’s experience ranges from traffic tickets to jury trials for 1st degree murder.

While working at the State’s Attorney’s Office, Dan taught courses for law enforcement and other attorneys on DUI traffic stops, cannabis DUI investigations, and field sobriety tests, amongst other topics in law enforcement. Before attending law school, he received both a M.A. in Communication and B.A in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

Dan joined Wilbrandt Legal in 2021 and has successfully defended hundreds of clients involved in the court system. From having cases dismissed, to clients getting the help they need in the specialty courts, Dan approaches each case with his full attention and tirelessly works for his clients to get the best possible results and outcomes in court.
